Instruction in maintaining the chainsaw and crosscutting ready-felled trees.
Suitable for the casual user or those wishing to obtain an NPTC Certificate of
Competence.

Training is a legal requirement.
The Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers
to provide adequate training to ensure that chainsaws and related equipment are
operated only by employees who have received appropriate training.
Upon successful completion of the course and meeting the required standard,
candidates are awarded a Lantra integrated training and assessment certificate
or may choose to apply for N.P.T.C. assessment on a separate day.
